Body Pump Boot Camp and Weight

First up.....

Not complaining. Since joining the gym I have been starving!!!!! I know that I am taking in way too many calories. I am so use to doing my workouts in the evening. Most days I am at the gym by 2:30. By the time I get home I am STARVED. So I gotta figure this out. I have been having an amazing time taking all the classes my gym has to offer.

This is me looking super happy before bodypump class. My first! I hit the treadmill for a 2.5 mile run since I was early. Then I went down the hall to find my class and get all my equipment set up. This is serious business. Since I have not taken this class before, I just followed along with everyone else and grabbed what I needed.

I needed a step, mat and barbell with various weights.

This was a fast paced class and I did everything I could to keep up! I am honestly still sore from my bootcamp class that I took last Friday, that the weighted lunges were tough!!! I am ready for the soreness to go away and I know it will. Excited to be getting into a routine and find the classes that I enjoy. On days that I do not do a class, I have been stopping by the gym for a treadmill and elliptical workout. My body is probably in shock! lol

Yesterday, I was so excited when I arrived home from work to two packages!!! I WON these Oakley running pants from Runtothefinish as part of the HBBC Challenge I did!! I was selected as a random winner!!!!! How cool is that!! A new challenge will be starting up around Valentine's Day!

My other package was from Prior Life. It is a tote bag I ordered from my Marine Corp Marathon.

The tote is made from banners that were used at the very race I ran!! This bag was only $25 and another great way for me to remember and celebrate my first full marathon:) I love it and can't wait to put it to good use. Such a cool idea, huh??

Breakfast

Protein shake for breakfast. I was sent some samples to review and as a giveaway and wanted to have a few before I put it on the blog. Let me say that they are yummy!! Coming soon!

Lunch

Lunch was an amazing salad loaded with veggies and sweet potato fries.

After work I went to my second spin class. I was early so I warmed up for ten minutes before the class even started. Learning all the lingo and terms with spin. I really love the class. Amazing sweaty workout!!

Dinner
Subway has become our Wednesday night meal. I always order a veggie on whole wheat with yellow mustard and I ate the entire thing! Not pictured were the SunChips that I enjoyed as well. Way too many!

Did anyone else join a gym for the New Year??

I joined to continue to challenge myself and fill in some free time that I have lately!!

  3. I didn't join a gym, but I'm going to yoga a lot more. I really would love to do some spinning, though, so I think I need to look into it.

    1. I have put off joining a gym forever!! It is just a good point in my life to join. So far spinning has been my favorite. I loved the hot yoga studio on Wednesday nights, but could join the gym for as much as I was paying to go once a week!!

  4. You look great! You must be very tall b/c if I weighed 150, I'd be super-chubby - I'd have guessed you were 130. But I'm not sure I'd blame eating. Maybe you are putting on muscle, which weighs more than fat! I suspended my gym membership since I'm doing stuff at home but I'm thinking about restarting.
