Treadmill PDR

Yes, I know I have run a marathon, but I would not consider myself a treadmill runner.
Today I can honestly say that I am!

After work today, I went over to the gym thinking I would run 3 miles on the treadmill then switch to the elliptical for 30 minutes. I went up to the loft area overlooking the gym to use one of those treadmills since I enjoyed the people watching so much last time. The gym was way more crowded this time of day since it was President's Day. I loved that there was so much to distract me!!

Once I got started, I just found my grove. After 3 miles, I thought just do another mile. At mile 4, I thought,  just do 5. Five miles has been the farthest I have run on the treadmill, but then I got to mile 5 and thought, take it to 6 miles to challenge yourself. I DID IT!! 6 miles, non stop running, while checkin out all the people below gettin their workouts in. I LOVED IT. I also loved everyone that was so impressed around me. That felt good!! I also loved to see the calories burned continue to go up the further I went :)

Post 6 miles!

Had to include a locker room pic! Bahaaaaa

I have been rockin out my food journal this past week and I really hope to see the results on the scale.  Keeping track of everything that I put in my mouth and that includes measuring out my portions. Just being aware makes a big difference. I love Triscuits, but can anyone just eat 6??

Well, today I did along with 2 tablespoons of hummus. This was my snack after my run.

For dinner I made Tilapia. I have not tried this brand before, but they were buy one get one at the Safeway, so I figured I would give them a try. Only 80 calories each and they tasted awesome!!

I also boiled up some asparagus.

I love all the Annie's products and they seem to be on sale often. This calls for skim milk but I just add water and it still tastes great and my husband has never complained.

Salad size plate. I measured out one cup of Annie's. The fish was so good and it has been a while since I made asparagus.......bring on summer!!

I also try to make the table look nice regardless of what I am cooking. I like to use pretty cloth napkins, and today I took some votive candles off the dining room table and placed them on the kitchen table. For some reason just that alone makes me tend to eat slower and really enjoy my meal.

Do you use cloth or paper napkins??

Do you light candles during dinner??

Happy Monday!!

We always use paper napkins...and a vinyl tablecloth because my kids spill EVERYTHING!

  2. Great job on the 6 tm miles! I know it's SO much harder on that thing!
I love tilapia, but haven't tried that brand, I'll have to look for it next time I go shopping! I only use cloth napkins if we're having company, otherwise just regular ones. I love candles and usually have them lit all day!
